Ilana Levy, MS

Ilana is currently a doctoral candidate in Neuropsychology within the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology. She received her BA in Cognitive Science with a focus on Neuroscience from the University of Virginia in 2003. A Post-Baccalaureate Intramural Training Award through the NIH allowed her to work as a research assistant for 2 years in the Lab of Brain and Cognition in the National Institute of Mental Health.

She received her MS in clinical psychology from the University of Florida in May 2007.

She is interested in how the brain processes language and how changes across the lifespan due to disease and injury affect the manner in which language is processed. She's also interested in how the use of new imaging technologies can improve our ability to study many aspects of the brain.

Currently, Ilana is involved in a study of language processing in Parkinson's disease and older neurologically normal adults using lexical ambiguity priming.
